The backbone of Protan is high-quality products; manufactured according to ISO 9001 quality- and ISO 14001
environmental management systems. Our product range has a long service lifetime, which is to the benefit not
just to our generation, but also to the next – our children. This is sustainability; no cheating on future generations.
Our goal is to provide products that minimises impacts on our planet. This is accomplished by fulfilling
functional requirements with a minimum of material consumption, and with materials that has a minimum of
impacts on the environment, such as carbon footprint. Third party certified life cycle analyses are provided in our
Environmental Product Declarations.
All modern building products contain a range of chemicals. In Protan we try to minimise the total number of
chemicals, and we have a proactive attitude in substitution into more environmental friendly raw materials.
This is documented in our REACH-statements and our Swedish BASTA-approval.
The Protan products are manufactured, installed and used with a minimum of waste. Production waste is
recycled internally at Protan. Disposal of building site waste and old products at the end of their long service life,
is carried out at approved recycling- or incineration plants, alternatively at approved landfills. One important partner
is the RoofCollect foundation.
