Protan has developed an attractive membrane for use on visible terraces and balconies where a strong, durable and safe walking surface is required. Protan GT membrane can be installed on almost all solid substrates.
Protan Terrace Covering can be laid on all solid decks, concrete or wood. It can be laid on metal when overlaid with high density insulation.
It forms a watertight and attractive floor covering with friction surface for use outdoors. It has a long life expectancy and ensures good protection from UV radiation from the sun. Apart from cleaning the product regurlarly, it requires no further maintenance. The same cleaning methods apply for cleaning Protan GT membrane as for normal floor covering.
By choosing Protan systems on terraces and balconies, water related problems such as corrosion of steel reinforcement in concrete structures and rotting of timber will be avoided. Protan GT is UV-resistant and has an anti-slip textured surface for safety. Protan GT is 2,4 mm thick, and is supplied in three standard colours: green, light grey and dark grey.
The system can also be installed on application areas where there is limited height for surface finishes and has lifetime expectancy of up to 20 years depending upon level of usage.
