Performance Statement (DoP) and CE marking:
Products for construction play great importance to the quality of the building. All products should therefore have properties that ensure that the construction meets certain fundamental requirements.
On 1st July 2013, the Construction Products Regulation (CPR) came into force. It became mandatory to provide a Performance Statement(DoP) and CE marking when placing products on the market within the EU. Protan roof and membrane products now have Performance Statement and CE-marking.
For products where there is a harmonized product standard (hEN) or when the producer has acquired a European Technical Assessment (European Technical Approvals (ETA)), the manufacturer shall draw up a declaration of performance. Performance statement forms the basis for mandatory CE marking.
Performance statement shall provide information about manufacturers, the intended use of the construction material, relevant performance, which Notified Body has been involved, which tasks the notified body has done and what certificates the notified body has issued. In Norway, the performance statement should be written in Norwegian or another Scandinavian language.
The implementation of the Construction Products Regulation sets a clear distinction between CE-marked and non CE-marked construction products. Project managers and contractors will access necessary information in order to choose the right products that meet the technical requirements for constructions set out in the Technical Building Regulations (TEK).
On the basis of the Construction Products Regulation Appendix III, Protan prepared the following performance statements for the roof and membrane products covered by the regulation.
Protan Performance Statements are available in several languages.
