Protan announced at the general meeting on 4 January 2024, that Lars Ivar Røiri has been elected as the new chairman. Røiri, who currently holds the position of CEO of Flokk Holding AS and is a board member of Glamox and Ekornes, brings with him an impressive track record. He has been head of Flokk since 2000, and under his leadership the Flokk group has achieved significant growth, now with an annual turnover of approximately NOK 4 billion.
Bengt Thuresson, who has led Protan's board since 2010, expressed his desire to step down early in 2023. Protan's owners express their gratitude for the beneficial collaboration and valuable contribution from Thuresson over many years. Erik Øyno, CEO of Protan, confirms that Thuresson has been a key contributor to the long-term and profitable growth in the group. Øyno is now looking forward to a continued productive collaboration with Røiri and to continuing the positive growth trend for the Protan group in the future.
