Figures from Statistics Norway show that 3.2 million tons of building and construction waste were collected in 2022. This corresponds to 582 kg per inhabitant and accounts for 26% of all waste in Norway. Large amounts of waste in the construction industry are a challenge that we at Protan want to help minimize.
We therefore want to offer our customers who buy our best-selling product, SE, the opportunity to help reduce waste in the industry by returning cuttings that are left over from roofing projects.
By returning off-cuts and surplus from roofing, you will contribute to a better environmental account for our products and roofing projects, as well as saving waste costs.
Protan offers the opportunity to return this type of material to our factory in Drammen, where it is regenerated and used in new products. The material will be reused in dedicated products in a smaller proportion.
All customers have to do is collect the offcuts and surplus material in big bags that we send with the purchase of the product, and we will arrange transport back to Drammen. Sustainability requires joint efforts and co-operation across borders and industries. We look forward to working with our customers on this.
