Bypakke Bodø is a collaboration between Bodø municipality, Nordland county council, the Norwegian Public Roads Administration and the Norwegian Railways to achieve important projects for pedestrians, cyclists, public transport and road traffic in Bodø. New national highway 80, which is the largest single project in the Bodø City Package. The road section is 5.5 km, of which the tunnel is approx. 2.8 km.
Rev. 80 will go in a tunnel from Hunstadmoen to Bodin camp. The tunnel will have two runs with two lanes in each direction. This means that eastbound and westbound traffic runs in separate tunnel runs. It is expected that 17,000 vehicles will use the tunnel daily in the opening year.
